commissioners will present the final budget draft during a public hearing
on Monday, January 30. A big ticket item this year will be funding elections.
The county anticipates spending $167,912 for elections during the calendar
year, compared to just $68,000 last year.
Livingston County Commissioners are putting final touches on the proposed
2012 budget and Clerk Sherry Parks scheduled a public hearing for 9:30
a.m., Thursday, January 19. The hearing took place during the
commissioner's meeting.
The draft identifies $5.6 million in funds available to cover nearly $5.5
million in expenditures. The commissioners presented the final budget
draft during a public hearing on Monday, Jan. 30. A big ticket item
for 2012 will be funding elections. The county anticipates spending $167,912
for elections during the calendar year, compared to just $68,000 last
year. The elections budget includes appropriations for the presidential
primary which will be in February. The county will be reimbursed for a
portion of the election expenses.

Thursday's hearing included the County Revenue Budget, the Road and Bridge Budget,
Assessment Fund Budget, Law Enforcement Training Fund Budget, Prosecuting Attorney Training Fund
Budget, Recorder's Special Fund Budget, Child Abuse Fund Budget,
Prosecuting Attorney Check Fees Fund Budget, Local Emergency Planning
Fund Budget, Enhanced 911 Fund Budget, Planning and Zoning Fund Budget,
Law Library Fund Budget, Circuit Clerk Interest Money Budget,
Victim's Advocate Fund, Election Services Fund Budget, Grant Fund,
Treasurer's Technology Fund, Deputy Sheriff Supplemental Salary Fund,
Civil Fees Fund, CCW Fund, Crime Reduction Fund, Use Tax Fund, Law Enforcement Sales
Tax Fund and Inmate Security Fund for the 2012 year. |
