Sherry Weldon has been selected to serve as new administrator of the Livingston County Health Center. She replaces Elizabeth Moss, R.N., who has retired after nearly 30 years of service. Weldon, a registered nurse, was previously employed at the health center as comprehensive school health coordinator, health educator and clerk, before accepting a position in 2002 as occupational health nurse for Hedrick Medical Center.
As Weldon begins her new duties as administrator of the health center, she had this to say about being selected: “I am looking forward to getting back to my public health roots at the health center,” she said. “Over the years, I’ve had ideas about ways to bring public health services to the people of Livingston County. I’m excited about making these ideas come to life with the help of the incredibly exceptional staff I’ve been given to work with.”
Weldon also said she would like to make the health center a more user-friendly place and educate the county about public health and the local services from which their families can benefit.
“When you combine Sherry’s professionalism and enthusiasm for public health with the Health Center’s outstanding, community-minded staff, we believe Livingston County residents will see positive results,” said Doug Doughty, chairman of the Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees.
