Livingston County commissioners recently hired Mark Shockey as the
county's zoning officer.
Livingston County commissioners have announced the hiring of Mark Shockey
as the county's zoning officer. As zoning officer, Shockey is responsible for issuing residential and
building permits outside the Chillicothe city limits. Because Livingston
County is zoned, building permits are required before any construction
can begin.
In addition to zoning duties, Shockey will also be working part-time for
the Livingston County assessor.
Shockey's office is located in the
assessor's office on the first floor of the Livingston County Courthouse.

This is the first time the
