Work began August 29, 2012, in both the men's and women's restrooms on the first floor of the courthouse to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) specifications. Work was completed by December. In addition to the bathrooms, the project involved adding an automatic opener at the door on the north side of the courthouse. The ADA project was funded through a $62,270 Community Development Block Grant administered through the Missouri Department of Economic Development and a $35,999 local county match, for a total cost of $98,269.
